Fast, free, no-signup PDF tools for editing, converting, compressing and organizing documents.
No account, ever
You do not sign up, log in, verify an email or enter a card. There is no user account in this service to create, because nothing about it needs one.
No subscription, no paid tier
Every tool is complete. There is no premium version holding back the useful settings, no page cap and no daily quota.
Encrypted in transit
The site is served over HTTPS only, with HTTP requests redirected. Your file is encrypted between your browser and the server.
Processed, then deleted
Uploads and results are written to a temporary working directory and deleted automatically within 2 hours by a background task -- whether or not you close the tab, and whether or not you download the result.
No permanent storage
Nothing is archived, backed up or copied to long-term storage. When the cleanup runs, the file is gone from the server.
Nobody reads your files
Documents are not opened, reviewed, sampled or inspected by a person. There is no moderation queue and no manual review step.
Not sent to a third party
Conversion and editing run on our own servers using open-source libraries. Your document is not forwarded to an external API for processing.
Not used for training
Your files are not used to train models, build datasets or improve anything. They are processed and discarded.
Why it exists
Most people meet PDF tools at the worst moment: a file is too big to send, a figure is wrong, a client needs three documents as one. The usual experience is a site that processes the file, shows you the result, and then asks for an email address before it will let you download it.
PDFolia does the work and gives you the file. No account, no subscription, no watermark stamped on a document you did not ask to have stamped.
What is actually different
The editor edits the real text. Most free editors paste an opaque rectangle over the old words and type on top, which falls apart the moment somebody selects the text or opens the file in another reader. This one identifies the original text object, works out its font -- including embedded subsets that carry obfuscated names -- and rewrites it in place. The output stays selectable and searchable.
It also uses the document's own embedded font rather than guessing at a lookalike, so a corrected figure does not come back visibly heavier than the line it sits in.
Compression only re-encodes images. Text and vector graphics are never flattened, so a compressed contract stays sharp at any zoom and still works with search and screen readers.
How it is paid for
It is free to use and there is no paid tier. If advertising is introduced later it will sit in clearly separated areas of the page, away from the buttons you actually need, and it will never be dressed up as a download link.
There is no plan to sell your data, because we do not collect it.
Built on
PDF processing uses PyMuPDF; Office conversions use LibreOffice. Both are mature open-source projects, and both run on our own servers rather than a third-party API.
